3 February - Diversified Information Technologies announced that it has acquired Bowman Enterprises, Inc., a document management services firm headquartered in Benson, NC. Diversified solutions manage the complete document and information lifecycle and include records management for both physical and electronic records storage, electronic mailroom processing, document imaging, workflow automation, information management consulting and print and electronic presentment. Bowman Enterprises provides document imaging and management services primarily in the healthcare and government sectors. In October 2009, Diversified acquired Active Data Services, a document imaging, print and electronic presentment provider headquartered in Raleigh, NC.
02 February - Software integrator, eVerge Group, announced that it has been awarded Platinum Partner status by Oracle. This partner status is the highest level of membership recognized within the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) and is awarded to fewer than 5% of Oracle’s nearly 20,000 partners. Platinum Partner status was granted in recognition of eVerge Group’s level of expertise, customer satisfaction and history of successful Oracle software implementations.
01 February – Omtool announced the expansion of its legal solution suite and customer base at LegalTech in New York. Omtool has added a Vendor Invoice Processing (VIP) Suite to its growing family of products specific to the legal vertical market and continues to add to its growing list of hundreds of legal customers, including approximately 50 percent of the top 100 U.S. law firms.
01 February - ZyLAB, a leading provider of e-discovery and information management solutions, announced the availability of its new version of the ZyLAB eDiscovery & Production system built to empower IT and legal departments to efficiently manage the most expensive and tedious elements of litigation in-house with automated tools. 28 January - ACOM Solutions, Inc. has added features to its EZContentManager document management system that provide administrators with greater flexibility and control and bring increased operating convenience to users. EZContentManager is a web-based document management system that allows companies to centralize corporate files of any type in a single password-secured data repository, with browser-driven retrieval and distribution engines providing fast and convenient searching and handling under metadata or full-text search.
28 January - The European Union relies on SNAP and K4 Version 6. With a staff of 655 employees the Publications Office of the European Union publishes the Official Journal of the European Union and other periodically published magazines, reports and books. Further they run several Web sites, such as the European Portal for Research and Development cordis.europa.eu or eur-lex.europa.eu, a portal providing all legal provisions of the EU.
28 January - Aia Software, a leading author and developer of intelligent document composition software, announced that its ITP Document Platform (ITP/MDK Repository v. 3.5) meets Microsoft Corp. testing requirements for compatibility with the new Windows 7 operating system.
ITP lets subject matter experts develop and maintain document content directly without depending on IT resources. As a result, users who are most familiar with the content perform document modeling more quickly and efficiently, enabling greater business agility. Now as organizations adopt the new Windows 7 operating system, they can do so without impacting their existing ITP applications. Only “Compatible with Windows 7” software and devices have passed Microsoft-designed tests for compatibility and reliability on PCs running the Windows 7 operating system. “Compatible with Windows 7” products install without worry and run reliably with Windows 7 applications. The ITP Document Platform 3.5 software has met these testing requirements.
27 January - Océ announced that its Océ VarioLink 5522c multifunctional printer has received a Fall 2009 Outstanding Achievement Award for energy efficiency from Buyer’s Laboratory, Inc. BLI analyzed the top performers in a range of printer and MFP categories and honored the most energy efficient products in their respective group with "Outstanding Achievement" awards. The Océ VarioLink 5522c device was named one of the most efficient in the 41- to 50-ppm A3/ledger color MFP category.

26 January - Komori America Corporation reports that The PrintSource Group, a 25,000 square-foot facility located in East Providence, Rhode Island has installed a six-color Lithrone 28 (LS628) with an in-line aqueous coater. Offering state-of-the-art pre-press and offset printing capabilities, on-demand digital services, and mail batch processing, the 40-year old company provides its customer base end-to-end services. The advanced automation of the LS628 makes it possible for The PrintSource Group to increase market share by expanding its business offerings to include larger volume runs and reduce turnaround times—a key factor in The PrintSource Group’s investment decision.

26 January - Xerox Corporation has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates for providing "An Outstanding Customer Service Experience." This is the fourth consecutive year the company has achieved the esteemed certification for Excellence in Technology Service and Support.
The Certified Technology Service and Support Program was developed by J.D. Power and Associates and the Technology Services Industry Association and is one of the customer service industry's most prestigious recognitions. Qualified companies must first pass the TSIA's Excellence in Service Operations audit conducted by on-site technical support experts over six days. Xerox's success in the audit phase allowed the company to enter the second research phase conducted by J.D. Power and Associates auditors who surveyed over 1,000 Xerox customers. Those surveys solidified Xerox as a leader in providing customer support satisfaction in 2006, 2007, 2008, and now 2009.

4 February - BÖWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) announced the appointment of John Tarascio to the office of chief operating officer. Tarascio most recently was president of BBH Services, with responsibility for the North American services organization and for product manufacturing in Bethlehem, Pa., and Durham, N.C. In his new position, he will also assume responsibility for product engineering and manufacturing for all BBH hardware lines. He was appointed president of BBH Services in 2009. He led the Services Operations organization at BBH from 2000 until 2009, and prior to that, held positions as executive vice president of Field Service (North America) and Technical Support Operations. During his 28-year tenure, Tarascio drove the implementation of one the most advanced customer support infrastructures in the industry using a true service business integrated CRM system and an award-winning corporate technical university.
01 February - Pitney Bowes Inc. announced the appointment of Joseph Timko to the position of executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer. He succeeds David Dobson, who was recently named executive vice president and president, Pitney Bowes Management Services. In his new role, Timko will be responsible for leading the development of Pitney Bowes’s strategy and long-term priorities. He will also ensure that the company’s product and system innovations are closely linked to these priorities in order to support the company’s objectives for growth.
27 January – Singapore location to be headed up by Keng Keng Tan, Photizo Group reach and expertise in Managed Print Services (MPS) will span three continents with the opening of an Asia Pacific office Feb. 1, 2010. Keng Keng Tan, former Senior Manager at Lexmark International, comes to Photizo Group after 17 years at Lexmark. She brings international business development and strong strategic marketing experience. Keng Keng obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from King’s College, University of London, England; and an MBA from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, US.
03 February - Think First announced that Jason Smith has joined the company as a consultant. Mr. Smith has led many GE Centricity Business customers through large, complex system implementations, and has extensive expertise with GE’s Enterprise Task Manager (ETM). Mr. Smith most recently served as Senior Installation Consultant at GE Healthcare, where he implemented and managed multiple GE installations for leading healthcare organizations. Jason has led clients through the design, build and implementation phases of many components of GE Centricity Business, including Billing and Accounts Receivable (BAR), Transaction Editing System (TES), Electronic Document Manager (EDM), and especially Enterprise Task Manager (ETM). Jason’s ETM expertise includes best-practice, custom workflows for Claims Management, TES, Rejections, Insurance Follow-Up, and Self Pay Follow-Up.
